Boiler Introduction

Power plant boilers refer to medium and large-sized boilers in power plants that provide steam of specified quantity and quality to steam turbines. One of the main thermal equipments in thermal power plants. It is often matched with steam turbine generator units with a certain capacity and is mainly used for power generation, but it can also be used for external heat supply in some special occasions. Generally, its evaporation capacity is large and its steam parameters (steam temperature and pressure) are very high. A complete set of auxiliary equipment is required. Most of them need to be equipped with a chamber combustion furnace. Forced ventilation is adopted. Various fuels (pulverized coal, crude oil or heavy oil, blast furnace gas or coke oven gas) can be used for combustion. The structure is complex and the efficiency is relatively high. Most of them can reach 85-93%, which has quite high requirements for operation management level, mechanization degree and automatic control technology.

Now the main unit is 600MW. At present, the more advanced is ultra-supercritical boiler, with a capacity of 1000MW. There are two main types of power station boilers: pulverized coal boilers and circulating fluidized bed boilers. These two types of boilers are the main types currently used in power plants. The biggest difference between a fluidized bed furnace and a pulverized coal furnace is that the state of the fuel is different, i.e. liquid and pulverized coal.
